What can be done about irresponsible alcohol advertising?

If you feel alcohol advertising is promoting excessive and irresponsible drinking or encouraging people to get drunk you can do something about it.

Make a complaint in writing to the Advertising Standards Board. You will need to include:
  • name of advertiser and/or product
  • description of the advertisement
  • if possible a copy of the advertisement
  • when and where you saw or heard it
  • reasons for your concerns
  • your name and postal address.
Should you require assistance in making a complaint, contact the:
