Drinking & Driving

Alcohol is a major contributor to road crashes in Western Australia. A third of fatal crashes are the result of drink driving. While most people do not drink and drive on a regular basis, research shows about 27% of Western Australian drivers, drove home after drinking at least once in the past 12 months. (NFO Donovan Research, 2001)
