Submitting an objection to a new liquor licence application

Step 1:
Prior to submitting an objection you must keep relevant and accurate records of events and practices. Doing so will help you to structure and describe the problem you wish to report and provide justification for submitting an objection. Records must contain date, time and the nature of any incidents which occurred

Step 2:

An objection can then be lodged using a Form 17, which can be obtained from the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor. All objections should be addressed to the Director of Liquor Licensing on the prescribed form.

Step 3:
Any additional written submissions should be attached to the Form 17. Be aware that the Liquor Licensing Act 1988 gives the Director the discretion to determine if an objection should or should not be heard.
